1) 6X6 Pressure Treated Poles;
Full dimension, rough-sawn and grade stamped. All Columns are treated to 60 Lb/Cubic foot retention per American wood Preservers Association Standard C-16 with CCA type C. This assures great durability in cambating insect exposure, deterioration and decay-producing fungi.


2) Trusses;
Roof Trusses on M & W Buildings are all built from computer designed, engineered plans and are factory assembled. Besides our own rigid quality control standards, they are also subject to independent inspection by an outside agency. Typical M & W building have trusses placed on both sides of the side wall poles and bolted at each end. This double truss system is obviously much stronger and safer than other buildings which may use a single truss or site built trusses.

3) Steel roofing and Siding;
Quality steel is used on all M & W Buildings. Processed to exact specifications, these "full-hard" 80,000 psi tensile strength grade E. .0165 average decimal thickness steel possesses exceptional spanning properties and spring like resistance to abuse. The unique siphon groove on the side of the panel interlocks with the side of the next panel to form a weather tight seal.

4) Painted Steel;
Our paint system is an SMP (Silacom Modified Polyester). The paint is a baked-on Polyester over a baked on epoxy primer. This process provides a greater protection from chipping or cracking and fading.

5) Screw Fasteners;
Besides allowing for future modifications without sheeting damage, this fastening system adds approximately 20% to the strength of the entire building as opposed to nails.

6) Custom Trim Package;
Ridge cap with foam closures, corner and gable trim standard. Over length track covers for fewer laps. Complete window and door trim. Exposed edges are hemmed for added strength and
safety.

7) Vapor Barriers;
There are two kinds of vapor barriers. The first is just to catch the moisture from the roof steel and move it to the exterior of the building. The second and highly recommended, is MBI (Metal Building Insulation). It prevents moisture from condensing on the inside of the roof steel and adds an R value to your building.

8) Sliding Doors;
Each pair of Delrin Bearing trolleys is capable of supporting a 400 lb. door. For ease of installation, track is available in lengths up to 24 ft. All of our exterior sliding doors have steel vertical rails for added durabilty.

9) Metal Entry Doors;
Universal 4 way entry door pre-hung in a metal jamb. It is polyurethane inculated to R9.5. Includes a keyed lockset plus three butt hinges per door for added security.

10) Construction Services;
M & W Buildings are erected by our own crews. Their construction crews are the best in the business. They are trained and experienced in the erection of our rigid wood-frame steel buildings. Hundreds of letters have been received from M & W building owners, praising the quality of workmanship and efficiency of our construction crews. To protect our customers against accidents which may occur during construction work, all crewmen are covered by Workman's Compensation and Liability Insurance.
